robrogers, welcome.

How to start Windows in Safe Mode:

How to view hidden files and folders:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial62.html

Un-install NewDotNet:
http://www.newdotnet.com/removal.html

You are running two active anti virus scanners.  Norton and AVG.

This is NOT a good idea as they compete for the same system resources rendering them ineffective at best or cause system crashes at worst.

Chose one as the active scanner (I recommend AVG as it uses way less system resources) and keep the other as a backup on-demand scanner.  Disable the active scanner when running the backup.

Create a Folder to keep HijackThis backup logs in case something goes wrong.
You do NOT want HjackThis backup logs in the Temporary Folder that should be cleaned out periodically nor all over your Desktop.

Depress the Windows key then e which will open Windows Explorer then navigate to the C: hard drive and create a New Folder called HJT then move HijackThis into this folder.

NEVER open any email attachement from anybody even your friends unless you verbally varify they intensionally sent it.
Set your email application to "Read in plain text only" as spammers/scammers use HTML email to varify that your email adress is valid.

If you insist on running P2P file (music) sharing applications like iMesh then the system is vunerable to the latest nasties that the Internet can contain.
Your system will not have protection for these nasties as the malware writers count on getting into your system fast before prevention is available so they have time to steal all the information on your hard drive.

Reboot into Safe Mode.

Go to Add/Remove Programs and un-install iMesh

Start the updated HijackThis after you have closed ALL other applications then check the following then "Fix checked:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.ebay.co.uk <== make the homepage Google as it loads a LOT faster

Start Windows Explorer and delete:

C:\Program Files\iMesh
C:\program files\newdotnet
<== Folders

The Sun Java application is WAY downlevel and has security exposures so updat to the latest level:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp

Install ALL prevention protection recommended.
