Doubting between pages too big for my resolution and shitty webdesign until I realized that pages working only for one resolution are not designed optimally.  Twisted Evil

My vote is pop ups.

Pop ups are the web equivelent of spam.  You didn't ask for it, they just shove it down your throat.

I even remember and avoid sites that use pop ups.

Swiftek,

I never see any popups. So they don't annoy me. Wink

Pieter

True, not many pages have them these days, and I get a cool bullet ricochet sound when my popup stopper whacks 'em (which I really like).  I made my vote based on principle.  You understand. Cool

I guess from a practical point of view (as reality would have it), I might vote "Broken Links".  That get's pretty frustrating when you think you're on to something good.

I'm afraid that I'm an offender of "Shitty Web Design", so I can't really complain there. Confused

Iliterit Shocked  webmasters is my next choice.

ugh!  so many to choose from!  but flash won out narrowly, as i like to surf with all plugins turned off.  plus, the majority of flash out there ain't worth the often long wait

I'd say Flash.

Second would be pages that only display properly in Internet Explorer. ( know that's not a choice but it's something i hate)

Why does everyone hate Flash content so much?

The only downside to Flash content is the time needed to load, but that only affects dial-up users.

Dial-up users should not expect to be able to do much more than email.  That's all it's good for.

Besides, the vast majority of Flash based sites have a "Skip Intro" button to bypass the Flash content.

Where's the rub?  I don't get it.

I rarely get pop-ups thanks to ZAP.  Flash doesn't bother me too much unless it has loud music or obnoxious sound effects with it.  Web pages that you have to use the horizontal scroll are annoying, I agree.  Poorly designed sites or pages, I usually just don't back there.  But slow loading pages bug me!  I'm on DSL and if a page is slow loading on DSL, imagine what it would be like on dail-up!  I'm just too impatient to wait for slow loading pages!   Rolling Eyes

I never get popups because of mozilla.  And I used to have it set where my browser would play Arcanum music everytime it blocked one.  That was a big mistake. The songs are about 2 minutes each...

I would've chosen popups, but Firefox blocks them. Twisted Evil  Now, broken links are very annoying. If I used IE without the Yahoo toolbar,I would've said popups. Swiftek is right.
