FFS, even at Idiot Marketing College they teach you not to post your supporting shills from the same IP address. Are you stupid or something, or what?

Quite right you are, all these posts from various "supporters" come from the same machine. He could at least have the decency to use a different computer to reply to himself. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, current tally is as follows:

66.xxx.xxx.144
Users posting from this IP address
 Sensations [ 8 Posts ]
 Ki Cole [ 2 Posts ]
 Malcom Cumberly [ 1 Post ]
 Sam Jackson [ 1 Post ]

(I have xxx-ed out a portion of the address for the sake of privacy. A puppeteer should never give away all his secrets...)

OMFG ROTFLMMFGDQQAO!!!!! What a l0ser! I see less idiocy on the part of the Trolls at the StarDestroyer.Net BBS!!!

I wonder if Sensations Computer Consulting is part of the very nasty 'Gator Corp'??

I bet Gator employees would not have it installed on their home computers!

Did anyone think it was odd at the time that someone would b on these fine forums promoting that scumware?

I doubt there is a 'Sensations Computer Consulting' if he/she is that inept to post under different names from the same IP!! Idea

He she would be back here in a hurry! Embarassed

Sorry about that, I just got back from vacation.  It was rather enlightening, however, since it really proves the point that I've been making all along about how paranoid people are about things they shouldn't be. I want to thank everyone who helped to prove my point, and the others that have also helped prove the point I made about gator and similar programs. To answer a couple of questions, we have a website, but since the computer consulting is only a part of it, you won't find it under a search for Sensations. We do have an email address on Yahoo, however. A warning, though...that is strictly business, and only business correspondence will be answered. As for posting, that is really funny, because I, myself, have posted from more than one system, at more than one location. LOL  A decent programmer can figure that one out.  I don't know all the many people who have been agreeing with me, however, and certainly not those on all the other posts out there that have. Nor would I presume to know even a tiny number of those millions that love Gator. That has never been a point, anyway, and makes little difference. I do have to agree with a couple people here, though. Given the truth, many people will continue to believe whatever they want to, regardless. I had a much higher expectation regarding how logical people can be. (To be fair, many people do react logically when the truth is presented, and that has been shown on many posts. But though my words have been proven over and over, there are still some that refuse to believe it, probably as much out of spite as anything.) I realize that I've received many positive responses to what I posted here. I've also gotten some that have been negative, not based on truth, but definitely based on opinion. Well, I've said many times that opinions aren't at issue, and everyone should have the right to their own opinions. So for now, I will check this post from time to tim, but focus most of my attention on several of the others where people are actually looking for facts, or for where they can find the facts. I will probably suggest this site to many, however, because the things I've said have been proven so many times and so well by others. (Okay, this has been pointed out to me by three different people...I didn't see it immediately, but they were correct.) Anyway, just a tip, people, quit believing all the hype you hear and check it out for yourself. There isn't anything that I've said that can't be checked on an substantiated. Whether you want to agree with me or not, you owe it to yourself to actually check things out, and not just automatically believe all the paranoia hype that you see and hear! Above all, don't let people muddy the waters by trying to turn the attention away from the point. There will be many people that will do this, and unfortunately, some don't even know that they are doing it. (Read through these posts, and you will see exactly what I mean.)

I sincerely hope that everyone has great luck and a wonderful coming several months.

alright, i'll bite:  you say you're looking for folx who want facts?

what exactly do you hope to accomplish by proving that there's a difference between "spyware" and "adware"?  seriously, and don't be offended (for the sake of argument, as we all love a good argument), why should one, an average computer user or a hardened tecchie, care about the difference?

Nice move.  Make another accusation of paranoia and a vague assertion that the "facts" speak for themselves (Of course, facts are funny things, you can always claim that your "facts" are more factual than the "facts" of others. Rush Limbaugh uses this linguistic technique quite often.), and voila! I'm outta here. That's your perrogotive, Sens, but I would point out that you still have not disclosed which specific branch or level of "the government" has investigated and given a warm endorsement to the scumware known as Gator.  Question

I apologize.  I now found the post where it was pointed out that it was the FCC.  I would be interested to know the title of the study and the exact wording by the FCC endorsing Gator, however. I would like to determine if The FCC found the installation methods of Gator and other scumware not only legal, but positive. It can be opined that such methods are sleazy and sneaky, legality notwithstanding. Of course, it is difficult to argue that the scumware pushers such as Gator (and others) are doing anything illegal.  The backdoor installation methods, while most probably legal, are certainly immoral and unethical. Being unethical is not neccesarily illegal.

Guest, you need to start a new thread, not add on one that's about an entirely different subject.  Idea

Sensations is laughable. He completely avoids addressing what others post here and hides behind "the facts speak for themselves." Idiot fails to realize we are not dumb sheep who will bow down to him just because he posts claims of users, re-registers as alternate names to give testimony, then claims facts.

I doubt the government would give it's stamp of approval of spyware at all. How about some proof coming out of a site ending with the suffix ".gov?" Expect us to take your work for it? Not a chance in hell!
