Just a newbie here, but I think I can help. On most free hosts, they put in the ad after the bosy tag, since your code doesn't have a body tag, try doing this:
<html>
<head>
<title>XXXXXXX</title>
</head>
<applet width="1" height="1"></applet>
<real body tag>
This works on Tripod, Angelfire and most sites. If you make a body tag in your page, the server will probably try putting the ad code after the first body tag. If you enclose that tag in a 1x1 applet, the browser will ignore the ad code. After that, make a real body tag witha ll te info in it. I don't know if it will work in your server, but it works in Tripod and Angelfire
