Like everyone, I seem to be getting deluged with SPAM. It all seems to be coming from individuals with a hotmail email address.  There doesn't seem to be any way to block it since every message comes from a different person.  Is there anything effective here other than getting a new email address  Sad

view the full headers, report the email (and headers) as a forward to abuse@hotmail.com

often times if its a legit hotmail address, the spammer will have their account closed. ive been successful in doing so on quite a few occasions  Very Happy

if theyre not hotmail, do a search on google for a free ip tracer, view the headers of the email and look for the 123.456.78 looking number, trace it...

and whatever the last @ispnamehere.com is, copy  postmaster@ispnamehere.com or abuse@ispnamehere.com and forward the spam to them.

Install SPAMPal. Download here. Most SPAM has been bounced which means the spammer is not using his own email address, but one from a compromised machine. So complaining to Hotmail's Abuse dept probably won't get you very far I regret to say.
