I have had a problem using LSPfix on a Windows Me PC. I receive a message that the program cannot find the Winsock2 entry in the registry. This is not a problem but I wondered where it went?

On closer examination there was no winsock2 entry in HKLM\......\VXD.

The manual method of removal of network settings and reinstall worked (thanks for the link!)

I have seen this error twice. On both occasions the PC had been reinstalled with Me, had AVG and Ad Aware installed. HijackThis reported nothing unusual, but still no internet.

Is this an Me thing?

LSPfix is a great little program, but if it doesn't work follow the link to the earthlink.net and do it manually!
