Upon installing Norton Anti-Virus, I discovered that it also installed a program called XtreamLok or xl.exe. This program interferes with the copying of CDs, DVDs, downloading music, etc. It also stops you from cracking or reverse engineering software. I do not think it was included in Windows Update as rumored in previous posts. This program is pure spyware and uses system resources and memory. It is difficult to uninstall and I have not been able to delete all the registry keys. It can be found in your c:/Windows/System32 folder. Even if you uninstall Symantec products, it will still be there. I can assist with uninstallation. But for now, I say BOYCOTT SYMANTEC! Shocked and bemortified Buy McAfee VirusScan and trash Norton products. Hopefully Symantec will get what they deserve (Angered). Any follow-up posts will be appreciated.
